I'm very interested in mind+body medicine. Some people call it integrative medicine. It used to be called Complementary and Alternative Medicine. The government calls it Complementary and Integrative Health (nccih.nih.gov). Being that my career began at a magazine devoted to concepts that went beyond conventional medicine, especially at the time, my view is unique. I'm not only open-minded when it comes to mind+body medicine, I'm also an active learner. I enjoy learning about and reporting on these topics and exploring the mind+body connection and its role in overall health.
In addition to my BS in Journalism from Northeastern University, and graduate coursework in the Publishing program at Emerson College, I have coursework in the graduate certificate program in Experiential Health and Healing from The Graduate Institute, based in Connecticut.

My first job in publishing, after college, was at Body Mind Spirit magazine.
